Bash Bish Falls. =0= Bash Bish Falls Trail. =0=
David, Duane, Barbara, and I all went on a hike at Bash Bish Falls which is on the border between New York and Connecticut. We parked in NY and took the longer trail to Bash Bish Falls. It was a quite pretty trail. Below is David at the border to Connecticut. The fall themselves were very nice and are shown below. Bash Bish Falls Trail. =0=

Above are more pictures of the falls. There were reports of people jumping from the falls into the pool below, but no one did that while we visited. There was a group (many kids) who visited and swam, contrary to the signs. The area around Bash Bish Falls had had iron mines and an iron works. The buildings for the Copake Iron Works are now a museum shown here with the iron furnaces shown below. Also below is the field / ridge where Barb relocates mice who have moved into her house (it is on her way to and from work). Copake Iron Works Museum. =0=

This is the smoke stack of the building where Bordens was founded as the New York Condensed Milk Company in Burrville, Connecticut (oddly enough). The process for condensed milk was developed by Gail Borden. . =0=
