| There was some very nice views from Noonmark Mountain. Afterward we went to Noonmark Diner where we had desert. In October I went to my 40th reunion at West Point. |

| There are old pictures of West Point from 1975 before I graduated and 1977 when I returned for a visit. I went back to a reunion in 1990 but didn't take any pictures. I hadn't been back since. There was little excuse for me not going to the reunions as they are so convenient to me, so this year I went. The first event I went to was a river cruise. |

| We had lunch on the cruise and then a bus took us from the North Dock back to the Plain. There was a Supe's (Superintendant) Reception but not until a little later so we had time (and were allowed) to explore the gymnasium. I sought out the old gym (above) where they taught freshmen gymnastics, had the obstacle course (as set up above)and winter run tests. Running on that short track was a kind of torture. My recollection is that two miles was like 27 laps (but who can count to 27 when they are hot and tired) and had no ventilation so it was a horrible place to run. Here is one of the old stairs and below is a new set of stairs for the new section that they wanted us to see. |
