Brian, Barbara, Esther, and Arnold =0= Brian, Barbara, Mike and Esther =0=
Barbara, Mike (my brother) and I went to visit the Kossoffs. Above you can see me, Barbara, Esther, and Arnold. Next is me, Barbara, Mike and Esther. We are in front of their house in Great Neck, NY. When I was a new cadet at West Point they insisted that we attend chapel, either Catholic, Protestant, or Jewish. I considered myself an atheist then so was no real eager. I was raised Protestant, had friends and relatives who were Catholic, but hadn't met many Jews. So I chose to attend the Jewish Chapel Squad. That turned out to be really great as during the High Holidays we were able to visit families in Great Neck. That is where I met the Kossoff's and they were like my parents away from home. You can see more pictures of them before and after. Here is a picture of the interior of the Protestant chapel and below are pictures of the exterior. Protestant Chapel, West Point, NY =0=

Above is a picture of the road down the hill from the Protestant Chapel to the Catholic Chapel and the interior of the Catholic Chapel. Here and below are pictures of the exterior of the Catholic Chapel. The Protestant Chapel was attended by about 3,000 cadets when it was mandatory. Each chapel had a choir that was restricted to 40 cadets as it was quite popular (they got to take trips away from West Point). The Protestant choir was very good. The Catholic Chapel was attended by about 1,000 cadets and their choir was quite good. There were only 40 members of the Jewish Chapel Squad and their choir only really required that you breath, so I qualified, but just barely. Barbara is shown in the pictures above and below.
