The tour of CNN studios was pretty interesting. CNN took over the lease on a building that had been an indoor amusement park. They had the world's largest single free standing escalator (shown here along the right) which they used as part of the tour as we went up the escalator for the tour and then down regular stairs to visit the different studios, etc.. The tour guide mentioned that there had been a ride where kids were put into a capsule which was then shot around as in a giant pin ball machine where their parents controlled the flippers. Cool, but was it true? There was also a city park just opposite CNN with fun fountains. Inside CNN Studio Tour, Atlanta, GA. =0=

Eric's flight was out of Huntsville, AL which allowed us to visit the NASA Marshall Space Flight Center. Outside they had an early prototype of the Blackbird and a full size model of the Saturn V. They also had a training mock up of the Skylab interior. NASA Marshall Space Flight Center, Huntsville, AL. =0=

There were also full size models of several other prior rockets. There was also a demonstration of centripetal acceleration, moderately similar to the classical carnival ride. NASA Marshall Space Flight Center, Huntsville, AL. =0=
